The button can be returned to its position through its hole with a pin or
small gauge music wire which has a blunted but rough point.  The probe has to
grip the button without piercing it because it has to depress the button slightly
before the button can be slid into its proper location.  This is a tedious
task at best and it is complicated by having to determine where the button is
residing to begin with, but it is doable.
