There were some substantial problems with paypal when the South Africa group parts purchase used them several years ago. The funds got tied up and delays followed IIRC. It may have been due to the amount of money as these were more expensive parts.

But it wasn't as simple as it seemed and people sent their funds to paypal and then it was problem getting them out to send to the vendor.

So, double and triple check before using this method.

IIRC, Berg handled the last one in house, and that my be their hesitancy that Adam mentioned. So, we hopefully can find someone, or a few folks living close together, who will "suffer" through handling this. Those of us who order will have to remember it is a volunteer project and not expect turnaround to be like some major mail order vendor.
