An aside, but vaguely related: keeping the top down on very cold nights or
in very inclement conditions in the day, and with the heater on, the van is
very comfortable. Raising the top diminishes so much of the insulation
provided by the van otherwise, and the added head room of the pop top, even
down, makes it a much more doable living environment.
