Actually, that's no longer the case. Ours is virtually identical to the original profile. In fact, the one we ship 95% of the time is actually better than original because it uses an aluminum clip like the other 3 sides do, so you don't have to glue it. We are the only ones with this version. Very infrequently, if we run out of these (we have to import them ourselves) we have to substitute one that lacks the clip (so you have to glue it) until our next shipment arrives, but this is very rare. In either case the seal is far superior to what most vendors ship, which is just an extra length of poptop seal (nothing like the original flat seal).
