While I'm the first to admit this is not conclusive proof that the short shift kit does not negatively affect the gearbox in any way but....

I have had one installed for nigh on 12 years now and can only say I have not had any problems at all with the transaxle (he says reaching for something wooden to touch ;) 256,000kms on the clock,original gearbox & transaxle in every way...even the clutch...
