Thanks Tony (& everyone else on the list too.)

I live in Cardiff, but I bought my Caravelle from your neck o' the woods. (Didcot specifically). I've joined club80-90 already - and I manage to visit the forum occasionally - but I can't get access to it while I'm at work.

I remember seeing one of those SA Vanagons at Vanfest last year - very nice!

The TD is good. I'm not used to such economy or power. - I've been driving my 1970 Devon Caravette mostly :^)

Unfortunately, I've managed to break my caravelle already... The gearstick came off in my hand last Saturday.

Thanks for the welcome Tony.

Hi Howard,

Welcome to the list from a fellow Brit.

I live in Kidlington, near Oxford, and run a 1985 Transporter (Reimo 2-berth camper conversion) and a 1995 Caravelle 2.6i - it's a South African-made Vanagon with the Audi-based 2.6 litre 5-cylinder motor, and 8 seats.

If you haven't already joined Club 80-90, the UK club for T25 owners, you should consider it. Go to:

I wish you luck with your Caravelle. The 1.6TD is a nice motor, plenty of performance with good fuel economy.

Best regards,

Tony
