Subject: Need Radio Antenna for my Double Cab

Occasionally my Diesel DoubleCab seems quiet enough (less than 50mph) that I've thought I might actually enjoy listening to a radio station! However, the U.S. Military didn't specify such a luxury as a radio. There is an official VW Block-Off Plate in its place. I think I can mount a radio there without much difficulty and placing speakers is no real problem. However, I'm stumped on mounting an antenna. There is no mounting hole in the typical driver's-side front position. The only existing mounting hole I can find is forward of the front passenger door. This does not the mirror location of the driver's side hole - it's not on the sloped portion. Take a look:

This single hole is about 15mm (.60") in diameter. Do they still make those old universal swivel-types that have a butterfly-wall-anchor-type mechanism? I really don't want to drill any new holes. I'm happy to use something universal. Anybody have any suggestions?
