Subject: For Sale - 87 & 85 White Sunroofs in California
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi All,

I have an 87 GL Factory White Sunroof Vanagon for sale in the San Fran Bay Area. This Vanagon has 179k on the odo, will fire up and run but has leaking head gaskets,4 speed, bare bones model, has power steering but no air, and not much else.(std windows, mirrors, locks ect) Has the rear folding bed (brown tan good shape), has no center bench seat, (already gone) they headliner was pretty ratty so I took it out, The front seats and rear bench need cleaning but are nice. I believe this to be a California vehicle, it does have some tiny rust spots, by the weather-stripping on the rear door and one of the side windows. but no place else. Drivers side is perfect, passenger side has the rear fender flare "oops" but not uncommon.

Overall this is an 87 sunroof which is rare, I thing VW only brought in less than 100 of these and they are the last of the sunroofs. The roof opens and closes very nice, doors all open and close really nice, I have been under it and it has not been hit and has no signs of rust. This would be an extremely nice rig to restore.

Asking price $1800

I also have an 85 white sunroof available it is cleaner than the 87 but seems to need a clutch, I bought it and drove it 300 miles home, the clutch is not slipping but seems to not disengage fully. (drags) This van has absolutely zero rust anywhere and is in very good condition overall. They headliner also was bad and has been tossed. no center seat. would also make a good restore. runs very good.

Asking price $ $1800

e/mail me with any questions, vanagon@astound.net

Thanks for looking!

Doug
