Tim,

Last year was my first experience of Burning Man.

But we almost did not go because we were listening to people expressing your kind of sentiments toward the event.

What a mistake this would have been.

I had a fabulous time. I did and see things I wouldn't even imagine possible.

Yes things changed. Yes, it was probably better in 1999 and 2000. And it was probably even better in 1990. But I wasn't there.

So all I care about now, is this coming Burning Man.

Jeff, I'll see you on the playa. I bought my tickets last night. And I'll have an art car too - hopefully build from a Vanagon... (vanagon content is here...)

And for all of you who are thinking of going, go before this is over and all we have left in California/Nevada is strip mall and tract homes...Just follow your instinct, don't take it too seriously, and you'll have fun...!
