I have tried to find a replacement for these without any luck, also.
Many body shops have said a factory strip has to come from the
factory.  Otherwise aftermarket will only be close at best.
 Obviously VW is your only hope..  Good luck, as I have seen many body
shop eliminate these, or even paint over them.
