Missing a ground or something is miss wired. Make sure the front sockets are not damaged, shorted, or otherwise connecting the two filaments together. You are using the correct 1157 bulbs up front, right? And they do only fit one way. If you put single filament bulbs (1156) that is your problem.

Volks,

I'm having a problem with my running lights.

Yesterday I changed all the bulbs in lights (front and rear).

Had a couple burnt so changed them all to new bulbs.

Now there's a problem.

Situation One:

With the motor running and either the left or right turn signal activated. - Both front turn signal bulb blink - Both Rear turn signal bulbs blink - Both rear tail light bulbs blink

The effect .... like having your four way flashers on but with the taillights blinking also.

Situation two:

Motor running / head lights on - Both front running lights on constant (as they should be) - Both rear turn signals on constant (no blink ... Shouldn't be on) - Both taillight bulbs on constant (as they should be)

Any idea what might be going on?

I'm thinking it may be a bad flasher replay that's causing everything to go haywire?

Is there any way to test it?

Also .... Would someone please confirm the flasher replay for me;

- Hella Part Number 4DB003750-64? - VW Part Number 191953227A?
