The window frame is essentially unchnaged except the late 87-91 US vans have a balck anodized frame.

There is likely no drain holes in that rear panel as there should be no water coming in to that section. Any water getting in is from a rust hole or other non-factory perforation. The lower sill is the most common source fo this type of damage. I have seen water come in from the back door which made it's way to lower places.

Try a garden hose on a nice day to as a tool for searching out leaks.
