You need anther wrench on the block that the nut tightens to, whatever
that may be. There'll be a square surface somewhere to put wrench jaws
on.

Since you moved the assembly, even a little, I would advise mixing up
some soapy water and brushing it liberally wherever there are fittings
between the copper tube and the tank. It could be dangerous to have a
leak there, but it's definitely going to be disappointing when you to
to use your gas stuff and the tank is empty.

Last weekend I installed a heater in mine, and I can tell you can't be
certain the connections aren't leaking until you test with soap and
water.
