Ron, John from aircooled.net reports a snapping shifter incident with the Berg product as well. Parts will fail for one reason or another. I've seen stock shifters snapped in half before. All the ones I've seen had no quickshift kits on them. Just look at the scrap metal heap at Tassi, Inc. near SF. You'll find a sample there once in a while. As for the UK shifter, it would stand to reason that the guy who makes it can sell it for less than if there was a middle man. If you are referring to IOM Si's shifter kits, he tells me the spacer plate is made of glass filled nylon. That seems quite different from the "urethane" product that you were referring to. BenT |
