If you went to significantly wider tyres (and still cleared the sliding door) I guess you could get down to 50s. I didn't go wider cos it was too hard or expensive to get snow chains that fitted properly. BTW,my '00 Double Cab runs 17x7" rims with 235/45s which keeps the same original wheel diameter.
