Wrecking yards do what they supposed to. They wreck the cars. To get to an
item they wreck the other items in the way. More damage coused by the guys
who supposed to save the parts and sell than was by the accident. In a few
days the car looks a real wreck. Hence the name "wrecking yard". And the
guys working there are the wreckers.
But I have been to a Mercedes yard before and that was immaculate with no
oil and perfect order. All the cars were either covered or they had all the
windows and doors on them. Security was also watching the parts guys. That
was in South Africa where they manufacture Mercedes and about 20% of the
cars on the road are made by them and parts are precious.
