James, The HD in my area (SE Florida) had some fairly wide stuff -- I believe it was almost 2", perhaps it's a local stock item, dunno. I tried to trim the foam to fit exact where I could with the ol' knife. The entire flap was cover with new foam. Whereas the flap is about 2" wide and the stock material covers the entire flap. Was the stuff you found in the weather-stripping section? How wide was it? Or did you not cover the entire flap? I suppose I could just run the strips around the perimeter of each flap and allow it to overhang the edge a bit like the stock foam... |
