My 87 Westy has had intermittent stalling for the past two years that I've owned it. I replaced the ECU last year, and most of my problems went away, but it still stalled at the most awkward, intermittent, sporadic, impossible-to-predict times. Today I drove three hours to a ski hill. And three hours back. On the way out, about half an hour into the drive, the vanagon stalled twice. But from that point on, it drove like a dream. No stalling. It's as if it coughed up two hairballs and then was OK. What happened? I'd like to make the change permanent. Thanks, -Ken 108 Blue Jumping Elephants |
