Yes AAA's card works in Canada and is honored by the CAA, Canada's equivalent. The same goes for Canadian's traveling here. I know this as I had my clutch slave cylinder go in Ontario while going cross country. I was in route from Niagara Falls to Detroit. It was unexpected but the local VW dealer had me back on the road the next day and since I wasn't in a hurry I took the time to enjoy the local museums, etc. Between AAA and my car insurance the hotel I stayed in and a rental was all covered.
