I had my eye on a Vanagon camper Diesel that sat for years. THe owner called a month or so ago, and said he is done with it, come get it. I told him I had to make room. Last saturday, I learned he had sold it to a guy that is dismantling Vanagons only. So I went out to see this guy who bought my Vanagon. He clearly said to me, "Vanagons are worth a ton more in parts than they will ever be worth in running condition. Now this one that I was interested in was a camper. I plan to clean it up and use it. It had very little rust on it, and needed a ton of cleaning, but in no time I would have been bringing it back to life. He claims without E-bay there would be no money in Vanagons and it would be mine. See the connection. E-bay has done the Vanagon world a great injustice. I would like to suggest that we all protest E-bay and DO NOT PURCHASE VANAGON PART ON E-BAY! I'm done, stepping down off the soap box. Eric
