If anyone is interested, I got a call this morning from Mark Coffman, owner of Scooters Bellissimo (www.scootersbellissimo.com)

He wanted to tell me that there was to be the first (of a monthly-through-the-summer) meet-up for scooterists and import owners in the San Gabriel Valley. (And So Cal in general.) This means there may be plenty of vintage and new scooters (Vespa, Lambretta, etc.)as well as vintage/old VWs, etc.

I will not be able to take my Vespa, as I will be watching the kids, but I plan to take the Westy, pop the top, check out everyone's rides and eat a pastrami sandwich.

The event will be Friday night, March 12th at 7:00 pm. The location will be at 'The Hat' restaurant, on the corner of Garfield and Valley in Alhambra. (About 1 mile north of the 10 freeway. Exit Garfield and go north. Very easy.)

Anyway, hope to see a few Vanagons/Westys there!
