Yes, that's probably so.  I believe to get AAA+ you need to be a regular
member in good standing for a year.  It's also a bit more expensive,
perhaps half again as much but it's well worth it as it also includes
free lock-out service where instead of just getting you in (fine if you
simply left your keys in the ignition) they will make you a new set of
keys (around $70 in my case) or simply reimburse you for any expenses
incurred if you keep receipts plus a lot of other benefits over the
normal membership.  You might try calling them to see if you can get in
sooner.
