Hi All,

Spend $$$, spend $$$, spend $$$. I agree that AAA is a good investment regardless of the car. My own personal feeling is to fly til' failure. I've had problems during my 300K mile tenure with my 90 GL. I've had to go into stores and buy rubber cement and a couple of hoses to build my own custom VW hose (that darn oil cooler hose). A few have hit it on the nose (IMHO) you could carry all the tools in the world and replace all the parts as they look bad and carry a ton of spares... why so you won't have to work on you van? It will always be the problem you didn't anticipate (by definition) If you want 100% reliability get a Toyota.

Jere
