A friend of mine with a EuroVan has a sun shield that folds out in from the sides. It resembles vertical venetian blinds (with roughly 1 inch between folds) more than a regular silver puffy sun shield (with 6 inch+ folds). It is attached with suction cups on either end of the windshield (the 2 sides pull out and meet in the middle). It's a lightweight fabric type of thing. Does anyone know where to find these? I like it as you can leave it on all the time and totally unobtrusive.
