We camp in our 85 Westy with our German Shepherd, Panzer. We bought him a cooler of his own at Wally-World. It's a small 2 or 3 quart Coleman soup thermos-like thing. It looks like a big bowl with a screw-off lid, in which we keep ice water for him to drink. If we have to leave the vehicle for awhile we will leave the lid to our regular beverage cooler open for him to drink the melted ice water from. Also...I purchased a vinyl bench seat cover at a local discount store that fits right over the rear seat and keeps those dog hairs and dog-debris off of my upholstery. My friend camped in her Westy with her Husky and had hairballs the size of small shrubs in her refrigerator vent !
