Anyone in the Milwaukee, WI area have opinions regarding Alpine Import Specialist at 6045 North Flint Rd. I'd like to hear about experiences with them - especially regarding water-cooled Vanagons. We have a 1985 Westy and need to find someone close by "who likes to work" on them. We have a garage and techs who can do most stuff, but really prefer not to work on these. So private email me.

Just failed emmisions with too high CO. We know we have a problem with it occasionally not having power. We stop, shot it off, re-start, and is runs good. Need to correct this after passing emmisions test.

Alpine was mentioned to our tech recently. We are in the SE area of WI. About 1 hour from Alpine. Any help to keep our VW going. OH! And any suggestions about other people, places that like to work on Vanagon, esp the Westafalias. Appreciate much. Thank you in advance...
