The camper seals I saw at HD were fairly narrow (maybe 1/2 - 3/4" wide ?). Whereas the flap is about 2" wide and the stock material covers the entire flap. Was the stuff you found in the weather-stripping section? How wide was it?

Or did you not cover the entire flap? I suppose I could just run the strips around the perimeter of each flap and allow it to overhang the edge a bit like the stock foam...

Okay, that's kinda what I thought. But wasn't sure since it wasn't really "sealed" from the factory.
