Subject: Recommended 'kids stuff' in Germany?

I don't know if it is something that I am going to regret or not, but I am taking my 6 year old son Richard to Germany with me in April (8th to 22nd).

- The trip starts and ends in Hamburg. - From Hamburg we are going to Wolfsburg to see the VW Museum and Autostat/VW Factory tour. - From Wolfsburg we are going to Bremen to pick up my 'new' Syncro DoKa and from there we go help my friends setup at Karenz Syncro Treffen. - Karenz happens the weekend after Easter, I am there to setup, participate and clean up. - Monday the 19th after Karenz I am invited to the ship yards in Hamburg to have a tour of a 245m long ship that is in dry dock for repainting.

This leaves me from the 20th and 21st to find something fun do to for my son to do and see. I am not sure when he'll get to go back to Germany so I want to make this an excellent trip for him. Any recommendations of 'must see' stuff in Northern Germany for kids? If we had the time, I would take him to Lego Land in Denmark - unfortunately for this trip it is too far to go. He's into Castles, which I think we're going to one with my friend in Hamburg, too young for beer, I think he'll see enough of VWs and the Autobahn to last him for a while. There is always the nice rolling country side and coast line towards Lubeck, but this leans more towards driving again, which by this time I am sure he'll be sick of.

Please help me out with suggestions!

Thanks!

David Marshall
