I just hate people that take their cats camping and when you catch them they say that the cat is a camping buddy. In reality they're just dumping the cats to become feral cats to rip your wiper arms down over your grill and pick at your no-see-ums screens on a Westy.

If you are going into bear country, keep it on a leash, especially when you are hiking in the woods. Far too many times that dogs have wandered ahead, found a bear, peed it off and coming running back to master with an angry bear in pursuit. Much worse than cats who bring home mice or birds.
