If the buyer were to choose not to pay he can be taken to court, where he will have to honor the "bid" agreement or pay all listing fees and re-listing fees plus any difference, if the van re-sells for less. This is covered in the "fine print" that governs all transactions on E-Bay. When you place a "bid" you have entered a binding contract that does hold up in court, you bid, you buy! I know, since being disabled last year, my wife has been supporting our family (of 6) by selling stuff on E-Bay. After talking to the seller of the 1991 Carat with 62k miles that ended today on eBay, I am kicking myself. He was willing to let it go for $5500. Well, it ended up at $10,200. If the buyer actually pays, wow, that is a lot of money for a van. Sure looked sweet. dylan |
