I covered the plywood base with thin indoor/outdoor carpet and put an L-shaped aluminum trim strip across the front to hold it in place. I put small screw-eyes around the edges of the platform and 's' hooks under the screws that hold the aluminum strip in place. Then an assortment of bungee cords criss-crossed as needed.
