i had a pillow board (somewhere in the archives there is info on making this and pics) in the upper bunk of my ex-'78 westy..i kept it at the front of the upper bunk, and it kept stuff from sliding out of the upper bunk and onto the floor.. and when you slept up there, it was used as a pillow..
