I've been trying to help Karl find a muffler but so  far no luck.  You won't
believe this one but as far as we can determine at  this time his 1980 Vanagon
L has a 1.6 litre carburettor engine designated for  European market only.
It has a one of a kind muffler with flat gasket  flanged inlets on both ends of
the can and outlet right next to inlet on the  right end.  Volkswagen part #
070 251 053C, found in European ETKA.   If anyone can supply a muffler it
would sure be appreciated.  I have my  suppliers looking but so far no luck.
