Has a sticker on the driver's door jamb that says "Made in Austria" too. Weird. I thought only Syncros had this sticker.

. It is the strange edition with rear facing seats, but no table or light. It also has metal bumpers and no fiberglass side panels. Has rubber floor mats instead of carpet in the front. I am sure Chris Turner can classify it for you.

its just called a Non-GL. base model vanagon. VW made these in 90-91 to try to sell more vans when the sales were waning.. they had black steel bumpers, grey tweed seats, no armrests, no tach, no padded dash, but they did have jumpseats, and the rear weekender sofabed, but no side table. black rubber mats thruout instead of carpet. colors were flash silver or alpine white. interesting model tho.
