FWIW, I put the aux battery under the rear seat... built a plywood box to hold it (with voltmeters for aux & main in the lid of the box). I did this long before I knew about this list (maybe before there was this list) and that just looked like the space that would give me the most battery choices. Went with an isolator in the engine compartment too -- certainly more complex than the solutions posted here -- but again 'I didn't know no different'. Well, it has worked for 15 years... but I have saved recent posts against the day when it works no more.
