Subject: Converting Weekender to Westy
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

How hard is it to convert a Weekender to a Westy? I am looking at a 1987 Camper (non-GL). It has a pop-top, the rear seat folds to a bed and also has the side cabinet on the drivers side of the bed. It has a rear facing jump seat where the sink/stove/reefer would go.

Is this just a matter of getting the cabinet (and the kitchen stuff), bolting it down and wiring/plumbing it? Are the mounting points for the LPG tank under the bus already, or would I have to drill/fabricate/weld? Any sources for the kitchen cabinet and kitchen stuff?

I know it's preferred to get a Westy to begin with, but I have to go with what I can afford. If this can be done, I can do it in stages as I get the funds...

Don in Phoenix
