Here's one: It seems 3 guys were flying home in a small plane (don't recall the type) when the landing gear did not lower when commanded. The emergency "blow down" also failed. Faced with a gear up landing, they used the resources at hand... they peed into the coffee thermos (previously emptied) and used it to refill the hydraulics reservoir. It lasted long enough to get the gear down and locked for a safe landing. Oh, they must have driven off in a Vanagon. (req'd content).
