I stopped by my local VW dealer the other day and the parts guy said that they didn't have anything like that... Without even checking the computer. I didn't bother to question his response, as I wasn't really expecting them to have it. But if he was wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. If someone has a part number, that would be great. Even if it includes the flaps, I'd at least like to price it.

I've been scouring the mcmaster.com materials catalog and found a polyurethane foam that looks like it has all the right qualities... BUT temp range is only +50 to +120 deg. - doesn't seem near adequate for the heater box.

Aren't there any squishy materials meisters around here?

BTW, thanks to those who helped me w/ my clutch pedal linkage repair. It's now oh-so-smooooooth... Really wanna get the dash back together...
