I thought this topic had been smothered by its own bloat. Guess not.

While I can understand the moral outrage expressed by one and all, may I suggest to save it for a time when it will do some good: like whenever you witness bigotry, either blatant or latent, firsthand. You won't have to search for it too much. I found it twice in the past 9 months. Once in a man of the cloth (polyester blend, at that) and another time in a stockbroker-Boy Scout Leader-church layman, of all places. Oh, it just accidentally slipped out on both occasions, but it made an appearance, nonetheless. Whenever you do express your indignation in the first person singular, I can guarantee that you will not make any friends and that all present will be embarrassed, but who gives a shit when you're dealing with those assholes anyway? As most of you can imagine, certainly not I.

So, instead of letting your fingers do the talking, open your mouth the next time you have the opportunity.

George
