Actually, the first posting was on the 12th of March, saying he had the van
for sale for $900, as "vikingtime04".  That message doesn't  seem to mention
that the van doesn't have an engine or transaxle, nor does it say it doesn't
run - just that it's for sale.  That's why dummies like me e-mailed him to
ask about it.  He also advertised his Carat the same day.

Oh, and "vikingtime04" is no longer a valid e-Bay seller.  I imagine e-Bay
has pulled his ID.  How strange! ;-)

I for one am putting this issue to bed.  I guess we have really done what he
hoped we would do - disrupt this list and give him his 15 minutes of fame.
<looks at watch> Well, the fifteen minutes are up...

Some Vanagon content - looking at a 1990 Weekender today, but it sounds like
it needs a rebuild.  My guess is based on the fact that the owner says it
steams once it gets hot!  Bummed...
