All the German volk that I hang around with call it 'Dee-zel' - same as the word Syncro is really pronounced 'Zinc-ro' In fact my German friends give me a lot of flack about how I say a lot of things. After all us Canadians are a weird sort of people - we don't sound like Brits we don't sound like Americans. They die laughing when I say Volkswagen - they think it is a total riot when I say that word. I stick to 'fow-vee' when I want to say Volkswagen!

Go figure eh!?
