Yes. They have a small hole in one end that the optics "sees" out of. They have about a 4:1 range to spot ratio, so if you hold it 12" away from an object it "looks" at a 3" diameter spot. Very handy for measuring lots of stuff.... It's nice to see they are made by Raytek. Raytek is one of the 2 "biggies" in infrared thermography.
