That's the most common Vanagon hitch, but it is very light duty. Good only for very small utility trailers, etc. We do offer a much heavier duty genuine VW one, which is the one sold by Volkswagen in South Africa as a dealer option for the Vanagon. This thing is practically bullet-proof, and actually slides into the frame rails and becomes "part of" the van. Link:
