I mis-communicated. Does the black edging of the canvas go on the outside of the trim, in that the screws will pierce the black edging? (as the factory did)

Should read: Does the black edging of the canvas go on the INSIDE CHANNEL of the trim, in that the screws will pierce the black edging? (as the factory did)

Hi all, Anybody who has installed the Bus Depot canvas for the pop tops. I have the fiberglass roof off, upside down, and on the floor of in the garage.

I am installing the upper edge of the canvas under the aluminum trim. Question: Does the black edging of the canvas go on the outside of the trim, in that the screws will pierce the black edging? (as the factory did) Or, does the black edging go on the outside of the trim. and the screws pierce the gray part of the canvas. This seems easier to install, but it will use up a tiny bit more of the canvas.

What did you all do? obviously the vinyl edging on the bottom edge of the canvas goes on the inside edge of the canvas for the bottom. but the trim is also installed with its flat side down. Whereas the top trim is installed flipped over.

Thanks!

Doug
