I was just there 3 weeks ago.  As you noted you are not a gambler,
so I would suggest to forget this place.  There is nothing there to
do or see, of any purpose.  Nothing but gambling, drinking,
hookers, and drugs.   As my dad said, great place to visit, once,
but he is NEVER going back.  Same with me.
    Now on the flip side, the Hoover dam is about 1 hour away.
Take your time, here, take the tours.  In a few years you will
no longer be able to cross the top of the dam.  IT is well worth
seeing how this dam changed all of the CA valley, Vegas, etc.
If you enjoy this, you will want to drive up the river, to
see the other dams, and the Grand Canyon.
