I apologize, you are correct. I have only owned my 87 syncro for less than a
year and mistakenly thought the rubber drive line damper was the vc. It is
external on some vehicles like the rabbit you show on your site but on the
vanagon its inside the diff.
Hey nice stuff on your site. I like the de-couplers you offer. Please
educate me as to what research has been done to allow free wheel front hubs
on the vanagon? The de-coupler only stops any scrubbing from an aggressive
vc it does nothing to keep the drive line from turning unless you can unlock
the front hubs from the drive line. This would allow you to truly have a 4wd
vs AWD. and the energy savings of not spinning the drive line up to speed
every time you stop and go.
