NY is also a No-Fault state. The No Fault refers only to the medical insurance. Regardless of fault, your insurance pays the direct medical bills for you and your passengers. Property damage and liability are not part of this.

Not entirely true, I don't think...Michigan is a no-fault state, so I think your insurance always pays to fix your car, regardless of who the police say is at fault.
