Nokian has their WR tire available in 205/55R 16 XL and 215/55R 16 XL see www.nokiantyres.com .  These tires should be close to stock vanagon specs for diameter.  I am running this tire in 205/65R 15 XL on my Westfalia and have been happy so far.
