When VolksCafe made my tube bumpers I had them put in a front 2" receiver hitch with the same intention. I got the idea from a Red Westy that lurks arount Toronto's Annex area, it had stock bumpers but a small (1 1/4"?) recievr poking out the front. I never did track down the owner...
