You guys are really in for a treat when you get the bill for $1000.00. About the going rate. The retail cost on the head gasket set is $300 plus. Add a few more parts like exhaust, that the mechanic torches off, rather than unbolting, and your up at the same price. You see this is just a come-on. LIke I said buy a KIA.
